Review: La Tulipe Roadshow, Atrium, Times Square Shopping Centre, Brunei
La Tulipe Roadshow is until the 5th of March!
I knew about this Roadshow upon my visit to Times Square in the afternoon today, after being given a flyer by a Dora the Explorer mascot while I was on the escalator (I was heading downstairs, Dora was heading up). Hmm… that person underneath the costume must know I’m into this kinda stuff… I wonder who it was….
I just found out that the roadshow will be ongoing until Sunday, 5th March; so if you really want to get ahold of the bargains they have on offer, there really is no need to rush out there today; you have about three more days to do that. Of course, stocks will be limited, mind you.
The roadshow offers a 20% discount off all La Tulipe products; facial treatment services; skin consultations and free makeovers. To be honest, I was a bit taken aback at the saleslady who; I suppose was just trying to do her job; was being a tad too pushy. She assumed, as I was just browsing through the area, that I WANTED to buy something immediately from them. It really annoyed me that she had to ask whether I wanted lipstick, or foundation, or powder or if I needed a makeover -
Like, HELLO??? Why would I need a makeover? Maybe you could ask if I wanted one but I certainly don’t need a makeover. I really wanted to just snap at her and say the only person who needed a makeover there was her - because her hair needed degreasing; and her eyes needed a little less blue eyeshadow. But I knew I was better than that.
Therefore, lucky for her, I actually took the opportunity to look at the flyer to see whether there are a few items onstore that might interest me…
So I asked for their ‘Body painting kit’; which is usually retailed at $55 for 12 tubs of face/body paint. After the 20% discount I only paid $44 (so that’s roughly about 3.70 per 10g tub of paint?). The quality is pretty high; it’s a lot better - and maybe even cheaper than those kids’ face paints; and it’s DEFINITELY an easier-to-get-hold-of alternative to Kryolan paints, which I’ll have to wait a longer time to arrive and pay a lot more for.
I also bought their ‘Perfect Foundation’ and their mascara; two things I’m almost running out of in my makeup bag. Hehehe…. I just hope their good. Will do a review on them in due time - if I can remember. Ooh and I also received a free pleather makeup bag with a mirror, which is great - if I can just zip it open a lot easier than I can now… :(
So anyway, yes… the La Tulipe roadshow should be interesting… I’m giving it an overall 5/10; but still recommending it because they’ve got some really vibrant coloured products on sale - something you don’t wanna miss.
