My WEEKLY skincare regime…
Skincare month for this blog is soon coming to an end, and because of the crappy ISP I have at home, and the lack of time and inspiration to create interesting (and more frequent) posts on the skincare products I’ve used, I, once again, have to create this lengthy post on the products I use weekly (as a complement to my daily skincare regime post):
1. Scrub(s):
I have TWO facial scrubs that I use twice a week (one for each time) and they are TFS’s Peeling Day White Jewel and Peeling Day Black Sugar. On the day that I’m feeling particularly dark and my skin needs a bit of brightening, I use the former - and I’ll use the latter when I start to notice disgusting blackheads emerging from my (gasp!) pores. I think that these two scrubs really complement each other in terms of making my facial skin look great - although they are both drying like crazy (but there’s always moisturiser to combat that). So I’m giving them both a 7.5.

2. Masks:
Again, I have two facial masks and I use them twice a week. The first one I’m going to mention is TFS’s Nature’s Gifts Volcanic Ash Self-heating mask. I normally use this right after using the TFS’s Peeling Day Black Sugar scrub, which I’d just talked about earlier. This mask opens up the pores, to allow for easier blackhead (yeurrgh!)and sebum removal; and best used before (as it really complements) applying nose pore strips/packs. The downside of this is it can be very drying (again, what are moisturisers for?) and yes, the heat can be quite uncomfortable on your face - but that heat usually goes away after a few minutes. I’m rating this product a 6.5 - not my favourite product to use - but it does complement the White Mud Nose Pack, which I will talk about very shortly.

An alternative product you can use is Etude House’s Blackhead Heating Scrub, which is a self-heating scrub (scrubs AND opens pores at the same time - you can kill two birds with one stone with this one) - I used this one earlier in the year but stopped because I left it in the UK during one of my trips.
Another product I use weekly; is TonyMoly’s Tomatox Face Massage Pack, which is a 5-minute mask used for brightening the complexion. This mask comes with a spatula and is packaged in a really cute tomato-shaped container, which I intend to recycle once I’ve used up all of the product. I believe I have already written a review about this, and have given it a rating of 9/10 -but would like to share photos of it nontheless:

3. Pore Pack
… Time for me to get completely anal about my pores again. The White Mud Nose Pack by TFS is something I absolutely cannot go through the week without. I’ve already written a review about this, and I’ve given the product an 8.5.

4. Sleeping Pack
I use TFS’s White Tree Snow Aqua Capsule Sleeping Pack twice a week to complement my face brightening products. This one combats dulling of skin as well as pigmentation - which I have in the internal layer of my skin- and moisturises dry skin. Applying the product is fairly simple - just use it sans night cream and leave overnight. I have to be honest, although it does what it says on the packaging, I’m not a big fan of its gel-like texture, which makes my face rather greasy in the morning. I’m giving this product a rating of 6.5.

5. Mask Sheets
And last but not least, are the use of mask sheets. Mask sheets are usually quite cheap so I normally like to try a different one every time. Although I’ve given some of the masks I’ve tried a high rating (over 8), I still haven’t found a favourite one just yet. But if you’re still curious, you can have a look at the reviews of all the mask sheets I’ve tried here.
